ERNEST will be presented at ICERI2026 with a talk on how science escape rooms can build a European ecosystem for public engagement, scientific literacy, and dialogue between research and society.

ERNEST brings its Classroom Science Investigation format to La Fuori Festival, a three-day public festival dedicated to science, imagination, and contemporary culture. Hosted in an unusual open-air setting in a peripheral area of Rome, the activity follows ERNEST's thread: taking research beyond its usual spaces and turning science into a shared investigation with the people who live the city.

ERNEST joins the high-altitude astronomy event at the Monte Zugna Observatory with a laboratory on the solar eclipse and a moment dedicated to ERN awareness. In the spirit of ERNEST, the activity brings scientific investigation into an unusual mountain setting, connecting sky observation, hands-on learning, and public dialogue.
